Arts B&B is a traditional Blackpool Bed and Breakfast re-imagined by artists for 21st Century. Its central mission is to support arts, culture, training and development opportunities for local communities and creatives whilst still performing as a highly attractive hotel for staying guests.
Art B&B rethinks how people can best experience amazing arts – where better than the familiar icon of the B&B in the most popular and unusual town in the UK? Art B&B commissioned as many aspects of the re-creation of the hotel as possible from artists – integrating it into the physical space and day-to-day operations – and now open, invests in a continual programme of new commissions, public engagement, learning and talent development
The project re-develops a 3 story double fronted hotel located on Blackpool’s famous sea front.
Through & Around were appointed in 2016 as project managers for development work up to and including RIBA Stage 4, including construction team procurement.
